Thank you Steppes Travel from the UK for supporting the valuable work of Masizakhe Youth Art Project to empower and develop young girls through dance, drama, poetry, singing and academic support. Masizakhe Youth Art Project is located in a particularly disadvantaged part of Gugulethu and are doing amazing work through the development, empowering and protection of girls in that community.
We are really very proud of our partnership with Global Sojourns Giving Circle (GSGC) which is a Guide Star Platinum Transparency Candid (2023) organisation in the USA.
By donating to Uthando SA, through GSGC, you are not only supporting our work in South Africa, 6% of the donation will also the incredible work that GSGC is doing through their successful empowerment and education programmes for girls and boys in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Madagascar. 6% of the donation will also be deducted by GSGC for admin/bank charges before the amount is sent to Uthando. So 12% in total is deducted from the donation.
GSGC make one transfer at the start of each month, we will let you know once the money arrives in our bank account. Please see this press release regarding donation and tax deduction details.

Zilla is a passionate South African living in Munich. She has a deep love for South Africa and a sincere desire to contribute to education and skills development in South Africa.
