The Hlanganani Ngothando Organisation (HNO) is a non-profit welfare organization providing care and rehabilitation to a broad group of disadvantaged individuals, including mentally and physically disabled men, women, and children, elderly, and ex-offenders, in and around KwaZulu Natal. HNO, which translates to “Meet with Love,” in isiXhosa is committed to the holistic, creative, and sustainable development of communities characterized by poverty, sickness, and social degradation. Based in Bulwer, HNO operates a multi-faceted organization; a daycare center supports disabled children and young adults. A transfer service transports those in need to the daycare center and distributes food parcels to vulnerable families. Community outreach programs, home-based care, and Christian counseling are also part of the organization’s offering. Acting as a social support base, HNO plays an integral role in developing and motivating individuals and communities to achieve happier and healthier futures.
