Established in 2006, Zanecebo, meaning “Come With A Plan” in isiXhosa, continues to strive to counteract the effect of HIV/AIDS on the community. It does this by encouraging those affected to lead healthy lifestyles, and it also raises awareness of HIV/AIDS. The work of Zanecebo, based upon reducing the rate of HIV/AIDS infection within the community, has carved a legacy, not only in the community but also far and wide. Zanecebo occasionally receives visitors to bear witness to its endeavors. It has proved to be a haven to both those infected and affected alike. Zanecebo is also a household name to those sharing its passion in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
